Re-scha: The Story Behind the Special Formula
Back in 1996, I had the idea of developing biological pharmaceuticals. With my knowledge of starlings and doves, I noticed that dietary supplements had no lasting effect if the overall health was not in balance. Therefore, I thought that the use of microorganisms with their healing potential could be the solution.
Lactobacteria as Starting Point
I considered yeast, enterococcus, and lactobacteria. Yeast was excluded due to the alcoholic fermentation. Enterococcus often occur in the intestines of starlings and doves, but only lactobacteria seemed to have a suitable profile. Therefore, I started to investigate the effects of lactobacteria in the intestines, with their inhibitory effect on bacteria, according to the ideas of Prof. Dr. Dr. Helga Gerlach.
The Task: Isolating the Perfect Strain
It soon became clear that all human strains (such as lactobacteria from yogurt, cheese or sausage production) were not effective. These strains disappeared from the intestines of starlings and doves without any lasting effect. Therefore, I had to find a suitable strain from nature, the small intestine of starlings and doves, which met my requirements (maximum adaptability to the intestinal receptors of different bird and dove species and maximum substituting effect for harmful bacterial species).
The Result: Lactobacillus Salivarius
The result of my years of research is my “Lactobacillus salivarius” (registered and protected), which is the basis of my pharmaceutical product PT-12 as an active ingredient. The rising interest, demand and satisfaction of my customers and users prove that I have chosen the right bacteria.
Re-scha has achieved this outstanding result, making it an indispensable product for starlings and doves. By using it we can keep the overall health of our starlings and doves in balance without the use of antibiotics.
