Oropharma Can-Tax 150gr

Oropharma Can-Tax is a red colorant based on canthaxanthin. This food supplement colors red canaries, intensifies the red color in other birds and ensures a nice even red colour.

Since feathers consist of dead cells and are therefore not fed through the metabolism, they absorb color when they are formed. The plumage is changed on average once a year. However, this does not happen all at once.

The loss of old feathers is stimulated by the formation of new ones and this happens gradually so that the bird maintains full plumage. When adding Can-Tax to the diet, canthaxanthin is transported to the place where the feather grows and takes on a more intense red color. Beta-apo-8′-carotenal ensures an even better absorption of canthaxanthin. Until the formation of a new feather, the formed feather retains its color.

Usage
During breeding: 2 weeks before laying the first egg. During the moult: daily during the entire period. During the moult it is recommended to double the dose. Exhibition birds: daily, all year round.
