Beaphar 404 Bird Spray: Care for Your Birds
As an owner of cage birds, aviary birds, or pigeons, you naturally want the best for your animals. Unwanted insects such as red mites and mosquitoes can sometimes be present in your bird enclosure. Beaphar 404 Bird Spray is developed to combat these pests.
This skin spray is specially formulated for birds and contains a combination of active substances: pyrethrins (0.23%) and piperonyl butoxide (1.0%). These substances are commonly used in veterinary medicine and can help control unwanted insects.
Application of Beaphar 404 Bird Spray
Using Beaphar 404 Bird Spray is simple. Gently hold your bird in your hand and keep the spray at a distance of about 50 cm. Spray briefly onto the plumage, avoiding the head and any unfeathered skin. Treat all birds in the area if an infestation is suspected.
Ensure good ventilation during and after treatment, and wear a plastic glove if possible. Do not allow your birds to bathe for several days after treatment to maintain the spray’s effectiveness.
Additional Treatment
For effective pest control, it is advisable to also treat all seams and crevices of the cage or aviary with a suitable product. Do not forget to treat the perches for complete protection.
