Protecta Diatomix for the control of red mites 200g

Diatomix by Protecta is a ready-to-use biocide for the control of red mites and crawling insects. The product is based on diatomaceous earth and has both insecticidal and acaricidal properties. It can be used in poultry houses, other animal housing facilities and domestic environments.

Diatomaceous earth is a 100% natural substance obtained from seas, rivers and lakes. It consists of 150 million-year-old unicellular shell organisms with a skeleton made up of almost 100% silica. These fossils have sharp edges that cause small parasites to abrade their outer layer. As a result, they lose moisture and die from dehydration.

Diatomix has a strong drying effect and helps control red mites, ants, cockroaches, woodlice, silverfish and fleas. Thanks to this mode of action, insects cannot develop resistance, which can happen with chemical insecticides. The product works both preventively and curatively and is suitable for both professional and non-professional use. It is ideal for controlling red mites in chicken coops.

Directions for use
Apply 30 to 50 g of Diatomix to the areas regularly visited by insects. Carefully apply the powder to places where insects hide, such as edges, corners and cracks, or create a barrier of powder.
