Antibacterial structural oil for the prevention of bacterial intestinal diseases

Probac Oregano Oil is a high-quality structural oil based on the essential oils of oregano, with the main active components carvacrol and thymol. These powerful natural substances support digestion, help prevent bacterial intestinal diseases, and contribute to a strong immune system.

The essential oils stimulate the secretion of bile and digestive enzymes in the intestinal tract, thereby optimising digestion. This results in fewer harmful metabolites, improved feed utilisation, and enhanced overall condition of the pigeon.

Support of digestion & intestinal health

A disturbed digestion opens the way for a wide range of pathogenic micro-organisms and endoparasites. Especially during demanding periods such as:

  •

    the racing season

  •

    the breeding period

  •

    the moulting period

digestive disorders may occur, which in severe cases can lead to diarrhoea.

    The consequences include:

    •

reduced performance during the racing season

    •

poor growth of youngsters during breeding (often visible as growth lines in the feathers)

    •

damaged feathers during moulting (transverse lines, growth lines, and malformed feathers)

      Scientifically proven mode of action

The exceptional effectiveness of oregano is due to the essential oils carvacrol and thymol. Various scientific studies have shown that these substances have a strong preventive effect against:

      •

bacteria: coccidia, hexamita, mycoplasma, E. coli, salmonella, staphylococci, streptococci, chlamydia, corynebacteria

      •

        parasites: hairworms and roundworms

      •

        fungi: aspergillus, candida, actinomycetes

This makes Probac Oregano Oil a powerful natural aid for maintaining intestinal health.
